#Clinicaltrials can be a #patients last hope. Particularly for #cancer and #rarediseases. The #FDA et al. had no problem fast tracking, hiding #transparency and #cherrypicking #data on #covidvaccines using #EUA that made billions for #bigpharma with zero liability. This lack of #compliance hurts the #patients and #healthcare as a whole. Where is the outrage? Where are the #government watchdogs, #mandates, and fine collectors?
👇🏼This is an example of why government healthcare/science is not always the answer. It's clear that #profit is priority.
Responding to requests for comment on the letter, the FDA revealed that between 2007 and 2023, the agency sent only 92 pre-notices and four notices of noncomplianceopens in a new tab or window, even as noncompliant trials numbered in the thousands. $$$$
👇🏼In spite of public criticism, the #FDA appears unwilling to take a more aggressive enforcement strategy. In the same statement, FDA emphasized that it prefers to encourage #voluntary compliance with the #law, although it left the door open to further action.
